Down But Not Defeated

While traveling in England with our daughter, Mike had a stroke that affected nearly 25% of his brain. He was hospitalized for three weeks in England before regaining enough strength to fly back to Utah where he spent another 30 days at the Intermountain Medical Center Stroke recovery unit.

Life looked a lot different when Mike finally came home. We needed to find new ways to be together as a family. We cried a lot but we also found reasons to laugh a lot. Even though it took time and effort to go out, the sunshine and autumn leaves brought the healing.
